Intensive Moscow's Attacks Cut Power Throughout Kyiv

Power facilities under attack in the region
Ukraine's energy systems have faced escalating strikes in recent weeks

During the night, Russian missile and drone strikes have resulted in electricity outages in extensive areas of Ukraine's capital, Kyiv.

A number of civilians were injured while residents in the city's east were left without electricity and encountered disruption to water systems, per reports from local authorities.

Simultaneously, a minor was fatally injured in a different aerial attack in the Zaporizhzhia region in the southeastern part, according to local officials.

Moscow has intensified assaults on energy facilities over the past few days, while officials has requested "real steps" from international partners to exert influence on Moscow.

"What is required is not window dressing but decisive action - from the United States, the EU and the major economies - in providing defensive weapons and implementing restrictions," was stated in a public message.

Officials stated that 450 drones and more than 30 rockets attacked Ukraine's energy infrastructure, describing such assaults as "premeditated" and against "essential services" as winter approaches.

Government representatives said Moscow was "launching a major assault" and repair crews were working to repair systems.

A barrage of missiles struck electrical systems and residential structures in the capital.

Several of the people wounded in the attacks on the city have been hospitalized, according to local officials.

Local officials said the city came under significant strikes throughout the evening. A minor lost their life and three other people were wounded.

The attacks succeed periods of bombing campaigns in the territory, portions of which are occupied by Russian forces.

The whole nation is on alert for sophisticated projectile assaults, which are harder to spot.

Authorities told journalists that Moscow was intentionally trying to damage the national power system, with attacks already affecting gas facilities.

Authorities confirmed technical personnel and authorities were preparing for further attacks.
